Steve Urbanski, Pharmacy Benefit Consultant, Cigna Healthcare Steve Urbanski is a Pharmacy Benefit Consultant with Cigna HealthCare. Steve provides consultative services to clients, focusing on the alignment of their pharmacy benefit plan to their overall health care strategy. Steve is a strategic partner with sales, client management, and clients in pursuing new pharmacy business opportunities and optimizing pharmacy solutions to customers and producers. In addition, he is registered to teach a two (2) hour CE class in PBM 101 and Specialty Pharmacy to most states including Florida. Steve joined Cigna in February 2002 and is responsible for the development of client service and overall account management sales for pharmacy programs for prospective and existing Cigna clients. His duties include planning and executing proposals and presentations, providing strategy, plan design, financial and consulting leadership for new sales and existing customers in pharmacy retail and mail order programs. Steve is a registered pharmacist and has over 40 years of pharmacy experience, including over 24 years in pharmacy benefit management. Prior to joining Cigna, he held positions with national PBM’s including PCS and Script Solutions, a specialty pharmacy PBM. In these roles he assisted employers and their members with plan design, benefit issues, and service. Steve has also worked for WebMD, the national leader in online health services. Prior to that he spent 15 years in sales and marketing at Eli Lilly and Company, including Global Product Manager for Infectious Disease and Manager of Professional Relations managing the relationships with the A.M.A and the American Pharmaceutical Association. Steve is a registered pharmacist (RPh) in the state of Virginia. He earned his BS in Pharmacy from the Medical College of Virginia and holds an MBA from the College of William and Mary. |
